What is Astrarizon?

Accelerating Growth. Astrarizon is focused on expanding beyond a venture capital firm. The mission is to back daring quests, build highly-utilised products and accelerate daring quests.

These verticals thus constitute through 1. backing - done through the VC arm and support for startups 2. development - of products and companies with the aim of just being cool and useful, onboarding big user bases and 3. accelerating - moving things faster through a soon to be announced accelerator program, network of services, research and more programs to come.

My Story

Four years ago I was searching for something meaningful. I was finalising my studies in Germany and was preparing to move to tech hubs like San Francisco or Dubai. Funny enough back in Sibiu, my hometown, some guys were working on a few very cool things that raised my interest. Elrond was early, things were just starting, there hasn’t been a powerful and beautiful Ecosystem such as today, but I was clearly being able to pinpoint a lot of potential by having such a great team and great problems/ideas to work on. I reached out to the team, met them and right on that day I started my four year journey. I joined the team with a mentality to contribute, a mindset that propelled me to the opportunity of doing great things during my time - working on important partnerships, supporting startups, working on the incubation process and so many great ways in which I was contributing on business and growth.

This is my advice to any ambitious young builder: have the mentality to first look for something meaningful for you and then direct your full focus on one and one thing. Contribute to that high-potential, find a team “that could literally build rockets”, and put an insane amount of work into the team’s mission. Sooner or later, all things will be extremely fulfilling, and the knowledge and experiences you gain will be transformative.

Astrarizon

There were many startups that I came across, ideas that I was backing up, teams from the Ecosystem that I got the pleasure to know very closely. While my role at MultiversX has been extremely demanding, working my first 365 straight and often pulling all-nighters - the internal culture around seeking growth for the team and Ecosystem, exploring new things, and progress - encouraged me to always do more. I have been contributing to several other initiatives, incubating startups within the space, but most intensively in following another path that has been very close to my heart. I founded Astrarizon Ventures. Goal: support projects with guidance, provide highly sought-after services, and build solutions that drive growth.

Vision behind

Astrarizon is dedicated to be more than a traditional VC. Vision: accelerating growth through backing and hands-on involvement in building and supporting bold new ideas.

It is key to direct all the attention on a few things and make the most out of them. Thus, I am now taking the decision to direct all my Focus on just a few things that particularly I think that we can make the most out of them.

Then some next steps

8th of August - there are some good starting points achieved so far, but only now we are actually just starting out. Backing up some of the growth engines with some real hands on development and attracting a sizeable user base to some of the products, contributing modestly to some of our partner’s projects and aiming to do a lot more.

Accelerating Growth - how?

1. On our side we will be working on new products that will be acting as growth engines: attracting big user bases by just being cool, great tech, seamless products and fun. Targeting initially some specific use cases and niches and then expanding to creating around this seemingly separated things - into Hubs and connecting all the dots around the platforms to reach some remarkable network effects and intrinsic utility within the products.
2. Contributing to other projects. We will be spinning of soon the Astrarizon Accelerator program, opening up services within our labs to support projects with what they would need from design to development support and something even much more intense when it comes to actual involvement working very closely, advising and nurturing startups.

Our Team

I am fortunate to work with an amazing team of talented people sharing together a strong vision and dedication to what we do. The Astrarizon team has been instrumental in driving our projects forward. Several other key people have contributed along the way and right now after several important challenges and tough hard work: we are going to move forward with full focus ahead. The team’s expertise, passion, and commitment are the foundation for what’s to come, and I am grateful to embark together on this journey.

Continued Partnership with MultiversX

We will continue to contribute to MultiversX, as they remain a very important partner and, more significantly, close friends. Together, we will be announcing some cool initiatives soon and spotlighting the things we will be doing further.

I am immensely grateful for the incredible people who have contributed to this journey so far. Your support, collaboration, and belief in our vision have been invaluable. To those joining me on this new adventure, we’ve got a lot of work to do. We are onboard a very ambitious journey.
